1954年生于希腊，后定居美国的Yanni（雅尼）被普遍认作New Age Music（新世纪音乐）奠基人。

雅尼曾说：“音乐是一种难以形容的语言，它越过了正常的逻辑思维，直接向人们的心灵倾诉。”

雅尼这曲《The End Of August/八月之末》出自其1993年专辑《In My Time /我的时光》。

如同雅尼其他一些早期作品，《The End Of August/八月之末》轻柔舒缓，略带忧郁惆怅。
