我曾持一卷诗一朵花来到您身旁

在柳荫里静听那汩汩的水响

诗，遗忘了；花，失落了

此刻再也找不到那流走的时光

您曾几番入我的梦？同水上一片初阳

还有闽北山上小溪的年轻的青色衣裳

我曾试着读懂您所有的故事

却憾恨着读不去您年轻的悲伤......

我曾持一只笔一张画来到您身旁

在柳荫里静听那汩汩的水响

笔, 遗忘了；画, 失落了

此刻再也找不到那流走的时光

您曾何入我的梦？同水上一片斜阳

还有长堤上斜阳下微笑的身影

我曾试着捕捉那远去的笑声

却憾恨着我抹不去您的坎坷......

I once came to your side with a scroll of poetry and a flower,

listening quietly to the gurgling water in the willow shade.

The poetry, forgotten; the flower, lost.

Now, I can no longer find that flowing time.

How many times have you entered my dreams? With the rising sun over the water,

and the youthful green of the stream in the mountains of northern Fujian.

I tried to understand all your stories,

but regretfully, I could not understand the sorrow of your youth...

I once came to your side with a pen and a painting,

listening quietly to the gurgling water in the willow shade.

The pen, forgotten; the painting, lost.

Now, I can no longer find that flowing time.

How many times have you entered my dreams? A setting sun casts its rays upon the water,

and on the long embankment, a smiling figure bathed in the setting sun.

I tried to capture that fading laughter,

but regretfully, I cannot erase the hardships you have endured...
