My Dad

It was not so long ago
Dad lived with us in the USA
For Dad, this was a new world
A world that he wasn’t familiar with

He was over 80 years old
But he never stopped learning 
His room was full of paper 
With English sentences, he wrote

When we went out
It was always Dad's mission 
To remind everyone to buckle up
“Buka, buka,” he said

Dad enjoyed church every Sunday
When everyone greeted each other 
With “Peace be with you”
Dad said sincerely
“pee-we-you”

I remember
When we dined in a restaurant
Dad didn’t like eating quietly
“I have to eat food secretly?” Protested Dad

Dad made everyone smile
And gave his love unselfishly
I would like to have dad’s strength 
To never stop learning and loving others

爸爸也庄重致意
用蹩脚的英语
安好，我...和你

我还记得
我们在餐馆吃饭
爸爸不喜欢餐馆的安静
并提出严重抗议
难道我们吃个饭
还要偷偷地吃

爸爸的风趣轶事
使我们开心快乐
爸爸的爱
总是那么慷慨无私
对爱最好纪念
唯有秉承父亲遗志
不断学习进取
播散爱的种子
