影星罗素.克劳在片中饰演一位患精神疾病的父亲，努力照顾其五岁女儿凯蒂。

影片由意大利作曲家Paolo Buonvino配乐。

生于1953年的美国著名歌手Michael Bolotin（迈克尔.波顿）为影片创作演唱了这首电影同名主题曲《父女情》。

It's hard to avoid feeling powerless to do anything about a conflict on the other side of the world. A director of the orchestra at university raised this point in a facebook group of professors of music he's part of, and a professor from Ukraine replied, "you can play our music, while so many of us cannot".
